Eye Problems Are Focus of Free Community Seminar

Ohio Valley Surgical Hospital Ophthalmologists Host an Eye Health Evening for the Community

Ohio Valley Surgical Hospital Dr. Sam Gallo and Dr. Vishal Verma invite local residents to a free evening seminar about eye health issues on Tuesday, March 6, at 6 p.m. at the Ohio Valley Surgical Hospital. The board-certified ophthalmologists will focus on eye health issues and sight problems commonly caused by cataracts, diabetes and drooping eye syndrome.

The seminar will take place in the Ohio Valley Surgical Hospital reception area, where free refreshments will be served. Seminar attendees will have the opportunity to interact with Dr. Gallo and Dr. Verma and learn more about eye health and causes behind cataracts and drooping eyelids. Dr. Verma will also discuss the effects of diabetes on the eye and the ophthalmologist’s role in preventing patients with diabetes from losing vision.
