BE KIND DAY at Ohio Valley.

Wednesday, September 12, 2018 was BE KIND DAY at Ohio Valley Surgical Hospital. Inspired by Southeastern High School junior, Mozie Van Raaij, Ohio Valley staff proudly wore their BE KIND T-shirts to stand up to bullying. Using proceeds from her Clark County Fair dairy feeders to design and print 200 T-Shirts with the BE KIND message, Mozie handed-out the T-Shirts to Southeastern students on April 20th. April 20th is the anniversary of the Columbine High School shooting. “Bullying is an issue in all schools and it needs to stop,” according to Mozie. The Springfield News Sun shared Mozie’s story; their coverage and spreading the message on social media has resulted in thousands of T-shirt requests/orders. Mozie donates the proceeds from her T-Shirt sales to several charities and to the Clark County Fair. This remarkable young woman also won the 2018 Clark County Fair Community Service Award, was the 2018 Clark County Fair Dairy Princess and the 1st runner-up in the Clark County Fair Queen competition. Ohio Valley is proud to support Mozie’s message of kindness and tolerance.
